The Brainerd and Armstrong spool chest arrived today. Your description was very accurate. It is beautiful. An exact twin to the one I have in NC. I was very excited to get this cabinet as now I can give each of my children a spool cabinet (the same) that was used as a merchandising sales display by my great-grandfather (their great-great-grandfather) B.L.Armstrong's company. B.L. Armstrong bought into the Brainerd Silk Mills, thus became Brainerd and Armstrong Silk Co. He built the company to 14 mills with over 4,000 full time employees before selling to Belding in 1928. If you are making a purchase from an online auction or store, please review the following instructions for your safety and security.

  1. Email . . .   All correspondence from email will be sent from bradsantiques@hotmail.com .  Please do not respond to any email from any other address.  Also, do not send personal payment information to any other e-mail address.
     

  2. We have noted the following message on Ebay and post it here as a reminder to be cautious:

    "BEWARE of fraud in which people are emailing our bidders indicating that individuals are willing to sell a similar item for a large discount, not only is this against eBay rules but it is a scam. You are required to send money upfront for receipt of an item, which is never delivered. Please do not become a victim of this terrible fraud. Please call us to confirm any
    suspicious emails."
     

  3. Payment By Phone . . .   It is often necessary to complete the sales transaction by phone.  If you are giving credit card information over the phone, be sure you are speaking with Mary Jane or Brad Charles, owners of Bradford’s Antiques.   If you have any doubt, please tell the calling party you will  return the call using Bradford's Antiques published store number --  816-781-4022 you may call collect to complete the sales transaction.

Refund Policy

All items sold are antique and will have wear and age appropriate to such items. Current condition, including any restoration, is guaranteed to be as described on our web site. However, we do have a return policy that allows you to return any item under the following conditions:

  1. We must me informed of your intent to return the item within 7 days of the delivery of the item
  2. The item must arrive back in our store within 60 days of the date it was delivered to you
  3. Customer will pay the shipping costs to return the item to Bradford's Antiques including insurance on the product
  4. Customer will pay a 15% restocking fee
  5. A credit will be made to the customer after the item has been returned to the store and inspected for damage. All credits will be issued through in the same manner as payment was made -- there can be no exceptions. Payments made by credit card must be refunded to that same credit card. Payments made by check will be refunded by check, however, in no case will a check be refunded less that 30 days from the time of receipt of initial payment.
  6. Any damage claims from return shipping will be withheld from customers refund until settlement has been received by Bradford's Antiques.

Fraudulent Credit Card Policy

BCMJ, LLC doing business as Bradford's Antiques and Brads Antiques will not be liable for the fraudulent use of credit cards on purchases made through our business.
